For Xnews users, add to score.ini:

  [^alt\.comp\.freeware$]
    % rule to kill PL2008 a.c.f posts
    score: =-9999
    subject: \[pl2008\]
    ~subject: \bvote\b

The last line is to prevent the "Vote" thread from being killed, in
case someone wants to note that s/he is a non-participant. People who
don't want to do that could just omit it. People who do want to make
that note could remove the last line once they've done so.

The a.c.f wiki would be a good place to store these things, so that
people can be pointed to filters without the need to repost them again
and again. There's already a filtering page at
<http://acfwiki.pbwiki.com/UsenetTips>. I'm a bit busy with Gustav, so
I don't have time to edit the wiki.

Speaking of Gustav, good luck to Bear Bottoms and to REMbranded, as
well as anyone else in the area. I hope it won't be more than an
inconvenience for you. Stay safe.
